Proposed Roleystone Resort

VISIT THE ROLEYBUSHCARE WEBSITEVisit the Roleybushcare Website

What’s happening?

The City of Armadale intends to rezone an area of the Canning Valley, Roleystone to accommodate a 179 unit multi-storey resort. Such rezoning would open the door to high density residential development in the area. Read submission to Armadale Council

This is in a beautiful part of the Canning Valley near the Araluen Botanic Park. The proposal poses numerous environmental problems including the discharge of treated sewage into the Canning River. It also will create social and infrastructure problems, and the rezoning contradicts the Council’s own Rural Strategy. When the Araluen Golf Club was approved the Council said that this land was to remain un-subdividable with rural zoning.

When is this happening?

Although this is only a draft proposal, and the plans may change drastically, the Council is eager to rezone the land now. Why?
